What is Alumawood Patio Cover?
Built from Aluminum, Design to look like Wood
Alumawood patio covers are built from aluminum designed to mimic the look of traditional wood patio covers, and are known across California for its durability and low-maintenance. Alumawood patio covers resemble the look of wood grain, but are resistant to warping, cracking, chipping, and fading, which are common with traditional wood patio covers. Alumawood patio covers are available in a range of colors and styles, and can be customized to match personal taste or the existing design of a home. Additionally, Alumawood patio covers are easy to install and require minimal maintenance, making them a popular choice for homeowners looking for an attractive and long-lasting option for their patios.
Alumawood patio covers offer the best of both worlds: the aesthetic appeal of wood with the durability and low maintenance of aluminum. This makes them an increasingly popular choice for homeowners who want a stylish, long-lasting, easy-to-care-for outdoor living space.
Types of Alumawood Patio Cover?
Solid Roof, Lattice, Pergola, and Gable
There are numerous options when it comes to the design, customization, and color of Alumawood patio covers. Some common types of Alumawood patio covers include solid roof, lattice, pergola, and gable.
Solid roof patio covers are designed to provide complete shade and protection from the sun and rain. On the other hand, lattice patio covers feature an open, lattice-style design that allows some sunlight to filter through, providing partial shade. Pergola patio covers feature a unique, open-roof design that adds a touch of elegance to outdoor living space, and are ideal for homeowners who want a visually stunning patio cover. A gable patio cover features a peaked roof with two sloping sides that form a triangular shape. This design allows for increased ventilation and air flow, which can help keep the patio cooler during hot weather. Additionally, the peaked roof design allows for easy rainwater runoff and prevents the accumulation of debris on the patio cover.
Alumawood patio covers can also be customized to combine two or more different styles of patio covers into one cohesive design. Combination patio covers allow homeowners to create a unique and personalized outdoor living space that meets their specific needs and preferences.

versatility
Striking, versatile, and easy to customize
Contrary to popular belief, there are many patio design options available using aluminum materials. You don’t have to be stuck in a square or confined to a closed overhead cover. Many of the sought-after open, rounded, or semi-rounded designs are just as easy to construct with aluminum, and extra touches like custom columns and recessed lighting make your final look even more refined.
02
durability
Love your patio for as long as you own your home
Because they do not rust, rot, grow mushrooms, or require annual painting or waterproofing, treated aluminum patio covers will last longer with a lot less fuss. Ideal for outdoors, aluminum patio covers can withstand heavy periods of rain and long periods of heat without suffering any damage.
Another bonus? Cleaning your patio cover is easy with tools as simple as a garden hose with a high-powered sprayer.
03
easy install
Installs like a dream
Lightweight and flexible, aluminum patio materials are easier to maneuver and therefore, easier install than steel or wood. You want to start living it up in your outdoor haven quickly rather than spending weeks or even months stepping over construction materials and listening to the sound of power tools.
And here’s a smart thought: If you are having a patio built professionally, then choosing aluminum will speed up construction time, lowering your overall labor costs.
04
Economical
Lower final purchase price
Although the initial materials purchase price may be more expensive than steel or wood, the short-term cost of installing and the long-term cost of maintaining an aluminum patio cover are much, much lower. Your patio is an investment that will pay dividends over the years, especially if you plan smart at the beginning and free yourself from the costs of maintaining and replacing your patio cover.

Other Potential Material You Might Want to Consider:
Elitewood Ultra and Classic Aluminum Material
Elitewood aluminum patio covers, similar to Alumawood patio covers, are made from high-quality aluminum that has a wood-like texture and finish. This material is designed to mimic the look and feel of natural wood, but are resistant to warping, cracking, and rotting. Elitewood Aluminum patio covers are available in a range of colors and styles, and they are highly durable, low-maintenance, and resistant to damage from weather and other environmental factors.
There are two types of Elitewood aluminum patio covers, Elitewood Classic and Elitewood Ultra. Appearance-wise, and Alumawood and Elitewood Classic patio covers look very similar. However, Elitewood Classic patio covers have 25% thicker gauge aluminum beams and a primer coat of paint. The more premium option, Elitewood Ultra, features the most beautiful and realistic deep driftwood texture, 25% thicker gauge aluminum beams, and an impenetrable Kynar 500 paint coating.
