Choose Patio Warehouse As Your Sunroom Contractor In Orange County

Let us help you design the perfect getaway in your own backyard

Even though our name is Patio Warehouse, we do more than patios and patio covers. Many of our customers consider us the best sunroom contractor in Orange County because of our ability to do it all, from stamped concrete patios and patio pavers to full outdoor kitchens. We are most proud of our ability to design a project from the ground up, making sure that it matches your home perfectly, looks gorgeous, and suits your needs and your lifestyle.

This patio enclosure project had to blend in with an architecturally interesting backyard, which included a standard patio along the back of the house and then a truly unique “floating” geometric patio in the rest of the yard. The backyard is much wider than it is deep, which reminded us a lot of another project we completed recently — only for that project we chose a Horizon Sunroom, which features a pitched roof, and for this project, we chose a Sunscape Sunroom, which has an insulated, flat roof. Not only did this home have a flat roof, the entire feel of the home was more modern and edgy than traditional, making the Sunscape a better choice.

We think the finished project looks a little like an arboretum with its floor-to-ceiling glass and gleaming faux marble floor. Browse through all the photos of the sunroom construction on the Patio Warehouse Facebook page and tell us what you think!

The Best Sunroom Contractor Will Work With Your Orange County Home

We began by marking off an 11’x32’ area of the patio along the back of the house, making the sunroom nearly three times as long as it is wide. This could have resulted in a sunroom that felt more like a galley than a room, but we made a couple of key choices to offset the measurements of the room. First, the homeowners chose floor-to-ceiling glass panels with very minimal trim, resulting in a room that’s inundated with light during the day, and feels like it’s barely-there at night. Second, we built the roof of the sunroom a little higher than halfway up the house. Higher than the sloped garage roof next to it and above the ledge overhanging the back door. The glass and the height help the finished room feel big and open, in the same way that raised ceilings and lots of windows help to expand any room. We can imagine sitting in this room throughout the day to soak up the sun and watch the birds and the flowers.

We also added a stamped concrete overlay to the patio’s surface inside the new sunroom, creating a sumptuous floor that looks like a brown and beige cultured marble. This produces a greater distinction between the outdoor patio and the patio enclosure, making the project feel more finished and more like a part of the house.

The Last Little Details

We added recessed lighting to the tongue-and-groove ceiling panels to create soft lighting at night. All three of doors have inset glass panels to enhance the open feel of the sunroom, and we included motion-activated flood lights above the doors for extra safety. We use the thickest walls and the best glass for all of our sunrooms for outdoor retreats that are completely comfortable year-round, day or night.

We are really happy with how this one turned out!  We love the way this sunroom blends in with the existing landscaping while also standing out. If you’re interested in seeing what we can help you dream up for your home, contact us for a free in-home consultation today!
